Information we collect
When you contact us through our website, email, telephone, WhatsApp or social media, we may collect your name, contact details, property address, project requirements, photographs you provide and correspondence.
If we prepare a quote or undertake work, we also keep relevant quotation, contract, invoice, payment and job records. Please avoid sending sensitive personal information that is unnecessary for your enquiry.
How we use your information
We use your information to:
-
Respond to enquiries and discuss your project.
-
Prepare quotations and arrange visits.
-
Provide and manage our services.
-
Communicate about work, payments, complaints, warranties and guarantees.
-
Maintain accounting records and meet legal obligations.
-
Protect our business and website and handle disputes.
We do not add enquiry details to marketing lists or use them for unrelated promotional messages.
Enquiries and quotations are personally reviewed. We do not make decisions about accepting your enquiry or pricing your work solely through automated processing.
Our lawful bases
We use information where necessary to take steps you request before entering a contract or to fulfil a contract with you.
We rely on legitimate interests to handle business enquiries, communicate with representatives of business customers, maintain necessary business records, protect our services and deal with disputes. These interests are subject to your rights.
We also process information where necessary to meet legal obligations, including accounting and tax requirements.
You choose whether to provide information, but without relevant contact and project details we may be unable to respond, quote or carry out work.
Who handles your information
The business owner currently accesses customer records. We use service providers that process information as part of delivering their services:
-
Wix for website hosting, enquiries and website chat.
-
Google’s Gmail service for email.
-
WhatsApp and Meta services for messaging and social enquiries.
-
Intuit QuickBooks for customers receiving quotations or invoices.
-
HubSpot for receiving and storing enquiry details, including your name, contact details, job address and description of the work required. We use these records to respond, prepare quotations, arrange visits and follow up your enquiry.
-
Google reCAPTCHA for checking website form submissions and helping prevent spam and automated abuse. This involves processing technical information about the browser and interaction with the form.
We may disclose relevant information where legally required or where necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
When you interact with a social or messaging platform, that platform also processes information under its own privacy terms.
Overseas processing
Although our work is carried out in the UK, the services we use can process personal information in other countries, including Israel, countries in the European Economic Area and the United States.
The providers describe these protections in their published terms:
-
Wix: its data-processing agreement covers international processing and provides for recognised adequacy arrangements, approved contractual clauses or other applicable safeguards.
-
Google, for Gmail: Google describes reliance on adequacy arrangements, including the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework for covered transfers to Google LLC, and approved contractual clauses where applicable.
-
WhatsApp: its UK privacy policy describes transfers to Israel and the European Economic Area under UK adequacy regulations, and UK-approved contractual transfer mechanisms for other transfers.
-
Intuit, for QuickBooks: Intuit describes adequacy arrangements, the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework for covered transfers, and contractual clauses with the UK Addendum where applicable.
The protection used depends on the provider, recipient and transfer. Contact us using the details above for further information or help obtaining details of the relevant safeguards.
How long we keep information
We review enquiries that have not resulted in work after six months and delete information no longer needed. We may retain relevant records longer where discussions remain active or a complaint or dispute needs resolving.
We generally retain accounting and tax records for six years from the end of the last company financial year they relate to, or longer where required by law.
We retain relevant job records for as long as reasonably necessary to administer applicable warranties or guarantees and deal with legal claims. This does not mean every enquiry or message is retained for the same period.
Cookies
Our website uses cookies supporting security, session management and core website functions. Our cookie consent banner is provided by Usercentrics for Wix. You can refuse optional cookies, choose categories or change your choices using the cookie settings button on the site.
The website's HubSpot analytics code loads only after you allow Analytical cookies. It measures website visits and interactions. Declining optional analytics does not prevent you from sending an enquiry. HubSpot cookie tracking is disabled on the separately hosted enquiry-form page.
Our optional Google Analytics 4 connection, provided by Google Ireland Limited, measures website visits, traffic sources, page views, scrolling and outbound clicks through Wix’s Google Tag integration, which currently loads only when you allow Marketing cookies. It also counts successful quotation form submissions when the required consent is given. Enquiry names, email addresses, telephone numbers, property addresses and messages are not included in its Analytics events.
Google Analytics can use identifiers and cookies such as _ga and _ga_ followed by the measurement identifier. You can refuse Marketing cookies for this Google connection or withdraw your consent through the site's privacy settings. Quotation-source and successful-submission measurement additionally require Analytical consent. The connection uses basic consent mode, so Google measurement will be sent only after consent. Declining does not prevent you from sending an enquiry.
The quotation-source feature keeps, only with Analytical consent, a recognised source label in session storage for up to 30 minutes as you move between pages. This temporary record does not contain enquiry answers or a full browsing address and is cleared when you withdraw analytics consent.
Google may process Analytics data outside the UK. Its data processing terms explain applicable safeguards. See how Google uses information from sites that use its services and Google's Analytics opt-out tool.
Our enquiry form also uses Google reCAPTCHA for spam protection. It uses a cookie for security risk analysis when the check runs.
A homepage check identified these cookies:
-
svSession: security, stability and core site functions.
-
server-session-bind: protection of website service requests.
-
hs: security.
-
bSession: measurement of system effectiveness.
-
XSRF-TOKEN: protection against fraudulent requests; also observed for the website chat service.
-
_cf_bm: associated with automated traffic and bot protection.
Some cookies last for the browsing session; others remain for a limited period. Browser settings let you manage or delete cookies, although blocking necessary cookies can affect website functions.
This list reflects the homepage check and may change as website features or services change.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you can request access to your personal information, correction, deletion, restriction of processing or transfer of information you provided.
You can object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it without affecting earlier lawful processing. These rights are subject to applicable conditions and exceptions.
Contact us using the details above to make a request or raise a concern.
You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at https://ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint/.

We may update this notice when our services or information-handling practices change. The date above shows the latest revision.
